Saint Mary School Students Nominated for Prestigious National Leadership Conference
Saint Mary School is proud to congratulate ten outstanding students who have been nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC), an Envision by WorldStrides leadership program.
These students were recognized for their scholastic achievement, maturity, leadership potential, and strength of character—qualities that exemplify the spirit of excellence that defines our school community. Their nomination to JrNYLC is a remarkable honor and reflects the dedication, perseverance, and leadership they demonstrate both in the classroom and beyond.
We are especially excited to recognize Lila Anderson, Christopher Doman, Floyd Horan, and Lilliana Elatab, who have committed to attending JrNYLC in Washington, D.C., this summer.
During this immersive week-long experience, students will explore leadership through visits to historic sites across our nation’s capital, participate in a presidency workshop and simulation, strengthen their communication and public speaking skills, and learn how effective leaders set goals, solve complex challenges, and inspire others through teamwork and service.
At Saint Mary School, our mission extends beyond academic achievement. We are committed to forming young men and women of faith, character, and purpose who are prepared to lead and serve in their communities. Opportunities like JrNYLC help students cultivate the confidence, integrity, and leadership skills needed to make a positive impact in the world while living out Gospel values.
We are incredibly proud of all our nominees and grateful to see them recognized for their accomplishments and potential. Their selection reflects not only their individual efforts but also the support of their families, teachers, and the entire Saint Mary School community.
A special thank you to Mr. Mel O'Neal for recognizing these students and for partnering with JrNYLC to provide this exceptional opportunity for leadership growth and learning.
Please join us in congratulating our nominees and wishing our attendees a wonderful and enriching experience in Washington, D.C. We look forward to hearing about the knowledge, friendships, and leadership skills they will bring back to Saint Mary School.
