Honoring the Pillars of Faith: 2025 World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly at Saint Mary’s
This Sunday, July 27, 2025, the Parish of Saint Mary, Mother of God, joins the universal Church in celebrating the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly—a sacred occasion to lift up the hearts and lives of those who have passed the faith on to us.
All parish and school families are warmly invited to attend Mass at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or Noon, especially with grandparents and the cherished elders in your life. During each Mass, our grandparents and elderly parishioners will receive a special blessing, a visible sign of the deep gratitude and love we hold for the wisdom, witness, and legacy they offer our Church.
But the celebration doesn’t end there.
Following each Mass, we will gather under the tent for a joy-filled breakfast, offering fellowship and food as we honor these treasured members of our faith family. This is more than a meal—it’s a moment of fellowship across generations, a testament to the strength of our parish as a living, breathing household of God.
Let us come together this Sunday in thanksgiving, joy, and reverence—celebrating those who first taught us to fold our hands in prayer and opened our eyes to the beauty of a life rooted in Christ.
Come. Bring your grandparents. Bring your stories. Bring your love.
We can’t wait to see you at Saint Mary’s this weekend.
